Texans picked to win South, women picked fourth

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The Tarleton Texan men’s basketball team has been selected to win the Lone Star Conference South Division, according to the LSC Preseason Poll released Wednesday in Bartlesville, Okla.

The Texans, who finished last season 25-7 overall after reaching the NCAA Division II South Central Regional championship game, were given 12 first-place votes to tally 115 total points.


The TexAnns were picked to finish fourth in the South with 75 points behind West Texas A&M (116), Abilene Christian (106) and Angelo State (89).
