YAKIMA, Wash. - The Tarleton Texans made their way to Yakima, Wash. on Thursday to prepare for their 2 p.m. CST kickoff against Central Washington on Saturday, Nov. 21 in the second round of the NCAA Division II national playoffs.Kickoff is in Ellensburg, Wash. - about 30 minutes north of Yakima. But the Southwest Airlines charter plane left Abilene Thursday night and landed in Yakima about 9:45 p.m. local time. When the Texans stepped on the plane, there were decorations, purple signs with "Go Texans" and "Southwest LUVS Tarleton" signs all through the plane. There were streamers and other signs throughout the cabin, and who was in charge of that?
Former Tarleton head cheerleader Rhonda (Huddleston) Greenhaw who was our lead flight attendant. She led the plane in the Oscar P cheer as she and the other flight attendants on the plane wore game jerseys for the flight.

Today will consist of team meetings, a walk through at the stadium in Ellensburg (or the practice fields right beside the game field) and some more meetings. The usual for the Texans on Fridays before gameday.
More about the game tomorrow, but meanwhile - It is 53 degrees and overcast here in Yakima, but nobody's complaining... Afterall, we are still playing and there a lot of teams sitting at home wishing they were here in our shoes... well, cleats.
