Still No. 19

The Texans are still ranked No. 19 in the nation, according to the AFCA poll. Here's the official release.

This region has nine teams in the Top 25... only six teams get into the playoffs, and we (the region) picked up two very good teams this year in Nebraska-Omaha and Central Washington.

Is this where the Texans should be rated? Should Tarleton be higher or lower?

Whats the word on the players that got hurt on Saturday night? I know TSU lost at least one lineman for the season.

Shanan,

Works for me.

Jeff,

I am not sure on the status of the players as of right now. When we here something definite, I am sure something will be released in some sort of fashion or another.

Go Texans!

I think we should be higher :o) We have played two good first games. Even though we haven't played anyone that is suppose to be SUPER tough, you never know how a first game will go (just ask west texas) and the second game was emotional for our family and we lost an offensive captain early. I think we are tough and are going to be a serious contender this year!! The polls will eventually catch up. And check out the power rankings!! We are ranked TOP TEN in rushing offense, scoring offense, total defense and kick return in the nation! Go TEXANS!!
